Enrollment is facilitated through personalized tours,
which potential students must attend.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to meet our teachers,
observe our classrooms in action, and receive
comprehensive information about our program.
The enrollment process is outlined below.
Enrollment
St. Jerome Early Childhood Center offers early childhood programs for children ages two, three, and four (including VPK). Children must be two, three, or four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year for which they are registering.
Potty independence is required for all classes except EC2 (two-year-olds).
St. Jerome Early Childhood Center admits students regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. All decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student are based upon the student’s emotional, academic, and physical abilities, as well as the resources available to the school in meeting the student’s unique needs.
Enrollment Process
Step 1: Parents and/or guardians, along with the prospective student, attend a tour of our program.
Step 2: Parents and/or guardians submit a completed application form with the required documents listed below:
Step 3: Parents and/or guardians will receive notification of the admission decision from the Application Decision Committee.
Step 4: If accepted and parents/guardians choose to move forward in the process, they must pay the $200.00 non-refundable Registration Fee (does not apply to students in the VPK program utilizing the Certificate of Eligibility).
Step 5: Obtain the Enrollment Packet from the ECC office and return the completed forms for processing. Once the Enrollment packet is processed, parents and/or guardians will receive a Confirmation of Enrollment letter, school year calendar, and tuition/fee invoice Schedule

- Current Health Examination Form (DH3040)
- Current Florida Certificate of Immunization (DH680)
Please note: Catholic schools in the Diocese of St. Petersburg do not recognize religious or conscience objections to the immunization requirement. However, properly documented medical exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All medical exemption forms are sent to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for approval prior to the student's acceptance into the Catholic school. Temporary and permanent medical exemptions are accepted when issued by a licensed Florida
physician and posted on the Florida Shots (DOH) website. - Family Handbook Acknowledgement Form (included in application)
- VPK Program: the application process is not complete until the school receives the Certificate of Eligibility and the signed St. Jerome ECC VPK Parent Agreement/Attendance Policy)

- PCLB Food Experience Permission Form
- PCLB Child Health and Development Questionnaire
- Emergency Medical Release Form (must be notarized - notary available in the office)
- Emergency Card
- Family Home Language Survey
- Media Release Form
- Permit to Remove Form (copies of photo IDs for all authorized parents/guardians are required)
- Signed Financial Agreement
- Extended Day Program Enrollment Form (if applicable)
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Parish Permission Form (if applicable)
Tuition Assistance
Each school year, we seek funding for the purpose of offering Tuition Assistance to families seeking a Catholic early childhood education for their children. Interested and eligible families are asked to pick up a Tuition Assistance Application in the ECC office. All submissions will be reviewed and processed in the order they are received.
The initial deadline for submission is April 15th. Families will be notified by May 1st. After that time, Tuition Assistance will be granted if and when monies become available. We are blessed to be the recipients of donations by generous parishioners of St. Jerome Catholic Church.
